As a product designer at Finchfinger, you'll have the chance to turn big ideas into engaging digital experiences that leave a lasting impact. You'll work with a diverse team of designers to create, prototype, and deliver delightful experiences that bridge the gap between our clients' customers and their products, services, and brand.
In this role, you'll approach product creation and launch in a cross-disciplinary way, coming up with innovative solutions that customers can't even imagine. You'll also help improve our processes, foster a positive culture, mentor junior team members, and challenge our clients to think outside the box.

Day to day

Solve Problems
You will be responsible for working with multiple clients across a wide range of industries to identify and solve complex problems. You will need to be able to understand the unique needs and challenges of each client and use your analytical skills to develop creative and effective solutions. This may involve conducting research, gathering and analyzing data, and collaborating with other team members and stakeholders to identify and evaluate potential options. The ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders and present your ideas in a clear and compelling way will be critical to success in this role. -
Design experiences
You will be responsible for creating innovative and user-friendly experiences and products for a variety of digital platforms, with a focus on mobile applications and connected devices. Your role will involve designing for a range of industries and clients, and you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of designers and developers to bring your ideas to life. -
Innovate radically
In this role, you will have the opportunity to push the boundaries of what is currently possible and design truly innovative products. You will use your expertise in storytelling, systems thinking, prototyping, and pixel-perfect design to bring these products to life. Whether you are starting from scratch or building upon an existing product, you will use your skills to create products that are truly revolutionary and make a meaningful impact. -
Lead design
To design innovative products and experiences that meet the needs of users and stakeholders, you will be responsible for leading the full design process from start to finish. This includes developing concepts, conducting user research, creating prototypes, formulating strategies, and working closely with engineering teams to ensure that the final product meets all requirements and is of high quality -
Build relationships
As a product designer at our company, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients. This will involve identifying potential client leads, establishing initial contact, and developing these relationships over time through effective communication and delivery of high-quality work. You will serve as a primary point of contact for clients, working closely with them to understand their needs and deliver innovative designs that meet their goals. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to effectively communicate with clients at all levels will be crucial in this role. -
Guide development
You will be responsible for supporting and coaching members of the design team, nurturing their skills, and guiding their career growth. This includes providing guidance and mentorship, as well as creating opportunities for professional development and growth. You will play a key role in helping the team grow and succeed, both individually and as a cohesive unit.
Relevant experience

Time served
A minimum of four years of product design experience with in a design firm or creative consultancy. A breadth of products spanning multiple industries is a strong plus. -
Outstanding portfolio
An exceptional portfolio and keen design sense are essential. You have “the eye” and quickly comprehend the distinction between “good” and “great”—and won’t stop until we get there. -
Toolbox
Extensive experience with design and prototyping software such as Adobe Create Suite and Figma (really, just Figma). Familiarity with video editing, augmented and virtual reality tools, and programming languages (especially HTML and Javascript) is a bonus. -
Systems thinking
Passion for offering simple solutions to complex problems and intricate inquiries. -
Team skills
Ability to thrive among collaborative teams. Prowess in motivating and guiding teams through complex challenges through strong leadership and vision. -
Communication
Astute verbal and visual presentation skills, paired with an articulate and nuanced design vision. Recognition of the essential role of design in business excellence.
