Day to day

  • Lead design
    As a Senior Design Researcher at Finchfinger, you will be responsible for leading teams and clients through the full design journey. This includes engaging with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and behaviors, conducting user research to uncover valuable insights and opportunities for innovation, and collaborating with design and engineering teams to bring these ideas to fruition. You will be skilled at cutting through the noise to discover meaningful insights and will lead with empathy to give a voice to our clients and their customers. You will be fully integrated with the rest of the firm and will work on projects spanning all industries as we develop new businesses, products, and experiences. We are redefining everything, and we need your help to do it. It will probably be a bit like National Treasure.

  • Scope challenges
    You will be responsible for planning, conducting, and analyzing research to understand and address our design challenges. This will involve scoping out research projects, determining the appropriate methodologies to use, collecting and analyzing data, and communicating the insights and recommendations to our teams and clients. You will be a key player in helping us understand and solve our design problems through a data-driven, user-centered approach.

  • Analyze insights
    In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing research data and turning it into practical recommendations and strategies for the company. You will need to be able to identify key trends and patterns in the data and use this information to inform decision-making and drive innovation. This requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Storytell solutions
    You will be responsible for crafting clear and engaging narratives that showcase the design process, ideas, and final solutions developed for our clients. This will involve taking the research conducted during the design journey and turning it into compelling stories that demonstrate the value and impact of the work. You will work closely with the design team to understand the details of each project and communicate them in a way that is understandable and engaging for a variety of audiences. This is a crucial role in helping to communicate the value of our design services to clients and stakeholders.

  • Lead stakeholders
    You will be responsible for managing and coordinating the needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders, both within the organization and external to it. This may include clients, partners, and other teams within the company. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be key in this role as you navigate the diverse and often conflicting needs of these stakeholders. Your ability to build relationships and work collaboratively will be essential in ensuring the successful completion of projects and initiatives.

Relevant Experience

  • Solid experience
    You have been in the innovation and user research industry for minimum of four years, have worked on a variety of industries and projects, and (preferably) had experience in the luxury goods space.

  • A colorful raconteur
    You must have strong storytelling and presentation skills.

  • Human-centered everything
    We need a strong advocate for our clients and their customers. A track record of success employing human-centered methods and inights to resolve business issues is a must.
